The Client

Sims Group offer comprehensive recycling solutions for end of life consumer products and scrap materials. To achieve the best possible recycling and recovery rates, the business operates dedicated processes for each service including: WEEE; End of Life Fridges; End of Life Vehicles; Abandoned Vehicles; Metal and Plastic recycling.

The Project Recent legislation had categorised Televisions and Monitors containing Cathode Ray Tubes (CRTs) as hazardous waste. Sims Group wished to target companies to educate them about this recent legislation whilst also offering the Group’s services for recycling. Secondary aspect of the calling was to educate people in Sims Group’s more general service of waste electrical and electronic equipment recycling.

The businesses to be targeted were those with large numbers of computer terminal users, whom it was assumed would require large numbers of CRT screen to be replaced.

The Results The Commercial Manager at Sims had this to say about the campaign and working with The Telemarketing Company:

"We were very pleased with the response rate achieved from the calling of just over 1,000 contacts from Data that TTMC had researched and found for us. In all it worked out a cost of a little over £200 per meeting arranged for each of our Business Development Executives.
