FirstCare is an Absence Management specialist. They have extensive experience in both the public and private sectors, helping customers reduce absence in their organisations. Established in 2004, FirstCare are a market leader in absence management in the UK, with clients including the NHS, Coca Cola, British Gas, Sitel, Travis Perkins and Homeserve.

 

FirstCare help companies to record, track and proactively manage staff absence, from the first day off, until their return to work. By providing a focused, flexible technology-led Absence Management service, FirstCare enable organisations to reduce the levels and cost of absence. As an example, in one NHS hospital, FirstCare cut absence by 20% in the first year.

 

The Project - FirstCare and The Telemarketing Company

 

FirstCare initially approached The Telemarketing Company with a wish to approach large organisations with many workers in relatively low paid, repetitive or stressful jobs. These organisations often suffer high rates of absenteeism.

 

As a high value consultative sell, it was necessary to approach various key decision makers within these larger organisations who would have differing remits, with regards to managing and reducing staff absence. The Commercial Manager at FirstCare comments:
