The 250+ employee company was founded in 1986 in Foxborough Massachusetts and is one of the largest suppliers of plant operations software in the world. The UK regional headquarters is centrally located in Dudley in the West Midlands with additional offices in Shrewsbury, Fife, Waterford (Ireland) and Surrey. The UK region provides sales and technical services which include project integration, consultancy and training for all real-time plant operations requirements. ICONICS has a number of high profile customers in the UK in various verticals including United Biscuits, Nestle, Converteam, BAA, Thames Water, Britvic Soft Drinks Ltd, Shasun Pharmaceuticals, Aker Solutions, AWE and Nissan.
Project background
In the UK, ICONICS wanted to promote its product portfolio of real-time plant operations software and integration and consultancy expertise. The product portfolio provides companies with the ability to visualise, measure and improve their key operational metrics. By applying these solutions and leading edge technology, companies can drive continuous improvement and achieve cost reductions. This provides the client with the ability to streamline their process for cost reduction, waste reduction and quality improvements. ICONICS solutions have yielded significant ROI for its customers in a variety of Production, Quality and LEAN projects by providing an integrated solution which leverages existing applications at the customer site in tandem with ICONICS unique offerings in Operational Excellence.
The primary goal of ICONICS for this campaign was to receive qualified names and contacts in target markets/companies from the Telemarketing Company, along with an understanding of their current pain points and objectives.
ICONICS has worked with The Telemarketing Company on several previous campaigns. The Telemarketing Company was again selected to provide a campaign to target £10M+ turnover organisations in verticals which included: Food and Beverage, Water and Waste Water, Oil and Gas, Power (Utilities), Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices and Automotive. The Telemarketing Company worked carefully with ICONICS to plan and execute a campaign of 160 hours duration, which included data selection prior to calling.
Project execution and results
The Telemarketing Company called from a cold list which had been selected to support the activity and targeted divisional, group or corporate level decision makers with such job titles as: Site Engineer, Systems Engineer, Facilities Manager, Plant Manager, Quality Manager etc. Call recordings were regularly sent to ICONICS for review and feedback.
The total number of completed profiles at the end of the campaign was 112, but there were many more records with valuable information. The activity delivered a good database, with relevant contacts and detailed notes for the internal sales team to prospect on, which is priceless in a niche sector.
