Sue Ryder Care appoints the Telemarketing Company to promote a new fundraising golf competition, The Sue Ryder Care Cup
Leading healthcare charity Sue Ryder Care has appointed The Telemarketing Company to promote The Sue Ryder Care Cup, a new nationwide competition for golfers. Finalists in the fundraising competition will have the opportunity to compete at Celtic Manor, one of the world’s most prestigious courses, ahead of the giants of golf.
The Telemarketing Company will be contacting golf clubs throughout the country to promote the competition and encourage club secretaries to communicate entry information to members. Their brief is to get as many golf club members as possible entering the Sue Ryder Care Cup. Participants need to submit cards from counting competitions, alongside a fee of £10 per entry, but there is no limit on the amount of scorecards that can be submitted.
The best 36 players will then be invited to compete in a grand final at Celtic Manor on 23 April 2009 on the Twenty Ten course – the first course built specifically for The Ryder Cup – before golf legends such as Tiger Woods play out the ultimate match play test in 2010. Each finalist will be able to invite a playing partner, as well as enjoy a gala dinner and overnight accommodation at this five star golf and spa resort in South Wales.
Victoria Glover, Head of Events at Sue Ryder Care, said:
“The Telemarketing Company was our ideal choice of marketing partner for a highly targeted fundraising campaign that will appeal to golfers everywhere. By taking part people will be supporting Sue Ryder Care’s healthcare services for people living with conditions including multiple sclerosis, Huntington’s disease, stroke and cancer. Tee off to help us help more.”
Niall Habba, Managing Director of The Telemarketing Company, said:
“We are delighted to have been chosen by Sue Ryder Care to carry out this innovative and exciting campaign. Initial results are extremely positive and we look forward to a successful working partnership with one of the UK’s leading charities.”
