The Seddon Group is one of the largest national Painting & Decorating, Building, Refurbishment and Maintenance contractors in the UK. With 1,000 employees based in 28 strategically located offices throughout the UK and a Head Office in Stoke on Trent, Seddon supports local communities through investment in local labour and has a proud history of providing training opportunities for which it has won several awards.
Originally founded in 1897 by two brothers, and now in its 5th generation of family ownership, the Seddon Group has evolved into a Top 50 privately owned company with an annual turnover in excess of £250 million.
During a period when Seddon was undergoing a commercial restructure to align the sales function closer to its core markets and customers, The Telemarketing Company was approached to generate qualified appointments for the Southern based Business Development team.
The focus of the campaign was to make appointments to strategically identified customers and to develop awareness of Seddon’s product portfolio, which includes amongst others:

Seddon offer a true “one stop shop” service, with a range of “ solutions from a single source”.
An initial campaign of 210 hours was planned, and this was extended due to the excellent results.
Project execution and results
The Telemarketing Company called across all of the industries in the data, feeding back results and call recordings and it became clear that several sweet spots for Seddon were identified and ideally placed for the business to work with.
This process was helped by a visit to The Telemarketing Company’s Brighton site of some of the key stakeholders in the project.
In six weeks of calling, The Telemarketing Company made 23 Face to Face Appointments and 11 Telephone Appointments, whilst developing and nurturing a strong pipeline for the next campaign.
